We, at Apni Roti, an initiative by Shivohum Balaji Seva Trust, a government registered NGO based in Kolkata West Bengal, serving people of Jharkhand and West Bengal by providing Free food, accommodation and health check up. We have started a mobile food van- Apni Roti , an automatic roti vending machine installed inside the van which produces approximately 900 fresh and hygienic rotis per hour, we send the van to different slum areas to feed the hungry stomachs with fresh, hot and hygienic rotis with organic pickle,and sweets free of cost. We have started this initiative in January 2019 , and in a very short span of time we have already fed approximately 5 lakh hungry stomachs. With the immense pleasure we would like to share that we are getting massive response across the globe, which is very much inspiring. Around 20 Lakh people across the globe has visited our facebook page- Apni Roti. We have been covered by different media houses also, like - Radio Mirchi , Big FM, India Times , Brut India , Telegraph , Taza Tv etc.We have been invited by Red FM at their show with RJ Praveen and also did facebook live. Recently we have also been invited by Zee Bangla at their show Dadagiri hosted by the new president of BCCI Sourav Ganguly. The founder Mr. Vikash Agarwal has also invited by Tedx Chowringhee as a speaker, and also been awarded by Birla Corporation limited as Daan Samman Naveen Award . There are few points which worked behind the idea of Apni Roti:- 1) The meal should reach to the hungry souls instead of they are hunting for food. 2) The meal must be fresh, hygienic and nutritious as the kind of meal we eat at home. we always take care of this. 3) This initiative must be religiously unbiased , it should be beyond religion and cast. 4) This is the most convenient and fastest way to serve people at their door step. 5) It can also be useful at the time of natural calamities, we can use this as an emergency service during and kind of food scarcity.
