Anahat works in 5 districts of West Bengal, namely, Howrah, Hooghly, Nadia, South 24 Paraganas and Kolkata. Anahat strongly supports causes such as Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse, promotion of Sustainable Menstruation, Menstrual Hygiene Management, promotion of safe drinking water and sanitation. Anahat has successfully conducted workshops in more than 70 Government Schools of West Bengal regarding Personal Safety Education Programme, Menstrual Hygiene Management. Anahat works with Basti No 10 in Diamond Harbour Road to make Anahat Unnati Foldable Pads and other products to create a module where women from the slums switch to cloth pads and also earn a livelihood by making these pads. Anahat recently conducted a pan India study on Individual Household Toilets constructed by ITC in their catchment area.
