About us

LP4Y accompanies Young Adults living in extreme poverty (on less than US$1.90 per day) who are victims of exclusion (people with disabilities, orphans, victims of domestic violence, Young prisoners or ex-prisoners, Young single mothers, migrants …).Our centers provide an ideal environment where Young Adults can develop their Life Projects and work towards social and financial autonomy, allowing them eventually to become agents for development in their communities. LP4Y operates in 11 countries across the world. In India, there are LP4Y centers in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, Raipur, and Kolkata. At the moment we are working on the opening of a new "Green Village" center in Ranihati (Howrah district, West Bengal). The Green Village is a residential training center for young excluded women aged 18-24 which aims to have a positive impact on the environment and raise awareness about sustainable development.

  • Job description : Responsibilities and Duties: 1- Well being & community spirit ● Show an exemplary behaviour, be a model of responsibility, safety, community spirit and ecological consciousness to inspire the community. ● Ensure the link between LP4Y and the STARS Club(LP4Y alumni). 2- Organisation & Management ● Support the team of the Green Village for the good maintenance of the center. ● Reach the given objectives. ● Be proactive giving suggestions or advice. ● Report any suspicious activity or visit in the Green Village. ● Report purchase list & budget to the Finance coordination team. 3- Pedagogy and accompaniment of the Youth (training and transversal management) o Accompany the Youth (17 to 25 years old) with low educational background, o Follow and guide the Youth about their personal development and job preparation following the provided syllabus developed by LP4Y (guidance, LP books, individual talks...), o Follow and guide the Youth during their job search period, o Follow and guide the Youth once they found a job and always encourage them, o Work as a team with the other coaches and trainers, o Support the trainers to help the Youth in getting employability skills during their training: English, communication, computer, communication, professionalism, time management, organization... o You will be a role model, who inspires and reveals the talents of the Youth o You will develop and maintain the partners’ network around the project: find some punctual person to give professional exposure to the Youth (testimonies and speech), make the link with the local community... For this mission the local Coach should be caring and responsible. She/he will keep a positive, encouraging and valorising look on the Youth, keeping in mind the influence of the image of himself/herself she can reflect.

  • Job description : Responsibilities and Duties: 1) Human Resources The Organisation & Management (O&M) Assistant will support the Project Leader O&M and the Country Coordinator in terms of human resources related topics. ● He/She is in charge of the visa processes of the volunteers on the field (issuance, renewal, immigration documents, etc.). He/she sends guidelines to volunteers, checks if documents are correctly filled, provides support if volunteers face issues. ● Taking advantage of the local language, he/she supports the recruitment of local volunteers (community mobilizers, etc.). For example, he/she will participate in selection interviews and help define salaries and additional benefits according to legal provisions and local practices. 2) Safety & Security The O&M Assistant will be in contact with the 8 centers in India. ● He/She is in charge of the implementation and control of safety measures in the centers. 3) Administration The O&M Assistant will regularly assist the team to ensure that all necessary documents/reports are being kept and being monitored. ● He/She verifies bills to ensure they are in accordance with LP4Y’s policies. ● He/She gathers information and creates a list of equipment allowed per centre for budget purposes. ● He/she actively participates in the regular reports / updates the documents.
