Nov 27, 2021 / Community Meet-up
On 27th November 2021, Y-East hosted the last offline Y-East Mixer of the year – The 2021 Epilogue co-organised with Turnitgreen at Offbeat CCU. More than 60 #changemakers working towards #sustainability and the #SDGs in Kolkata gathered on our sunny rooftop to listen to the inspiring testimonies of the one and only Bibi Russell; Co-chairwoman of Techno India Group Manoshi Roychowdhury; TurnItGreen co-founders Praabal Kumar Basu and Sudarshan Chakravorty; Goonj founder Anshu Gupta; Prof Ananda Mitra and Dr Nita Khandekar of ICAR. A great occasion for us to also inaugurate an e-waste collection centre at Offbeat CCU with Hulladek Recycling and to announce the launch of a syndicated impact fund for ESG and Health startups curated by Aaquib Hussain founder of Freeflow Venture Builders.
It’s just the beginning of the road, we know that we will have a collective, impactful, fascinating learning journey ahead. Our heartfelt gratitude to the whole core community of Y-East, such a fertile ground for long-awaited positive social and environmental change in East and North-East India. These meet-ups open the door to professional organisations and individuals working towards social and environmental impact, with one thread in mind: igniting action-oriented conversations among Y-East members to work better and more collaboratively together, to enhance our collective visibility and to eventually generate greater collective impact!
Our gratitude also goes to the Y-East dream team Pauline Laravoire Meghdut RoyChowdhury Aparupa Datta and Enakshi Majumder! Special thanks as well to Sujata Chatterjee founder of TWIRL.STORE who has always been so proactive and supportive!
