Y-East and Waapsi – Digital Platform for Relief Support

Waapsi, a joint initiative of Y-East and UFLIX Design is a social community platform that enables connections between nearby NGOs, Supply Centres, Help Seekers and Donors, therefore optimising relief action for food, sanitation and medical items across India. A new age platform like Waapsi will have a tremendous impact in optimising collaborations in the not-for-profit sector at the national scale, not only during the COVID-19 crisis but also in the very long run. This promising, future-proof tech tool is available for free and in an open-source manner to all NGOs and initiatives. Waapsi indeed illustrates the global, long-term trend of Tech for Good and embraces the undeniable fact that social impact at scale can hardly be achieved without intuitive, user-friendly technology tools like Waapsi.

From Waapsi, the following stakeholders can register and enjoy the following functionalities:
1. NGO/Volunteer to reach out to help-seekers with essential items and access additional funds collected via Waapsi through donors
2. Shop/Supply Centre to be pinned on our map to enable NGOs/Volunteers to pick up supplies from the nearest providers
3. Company/Foundation/Donor to provide financial support to NGOs registered on Waapsi or become an associate partner of the platform
4. Help-seeker to be identified and request for essential items on a needs basis
