River Rangers X Royal Enfield Lake Clean-Up on World Environment Day

Y-East, River Rangers, NetNada, Rotaract Club of MCKV college and Twirl organised a lake cleanup drive and awareness programme focussing on the theme “Leave Every Place Better” – an initiative of Royal Enfield – to mark the World Environment Day 2022 on – 5 June 2022

The event was implemented in association with Earth Day Network India and hospitality partner Offbeat CCU.
45 volunteers from the Rotaract club of MCKV college and 67 riders from Royal Enfield cleaned the Dhopa Lake and nearby area, behind Offbeat CCU, Topsia, Kolkata.

The drive started with an inspirational message from eminent keynote speaker Sujata Chatterjee, founder of Twirl.store. After 30 minutes of intense clean-up, the volunteers and the riders together had collected 53 bags of waste, weighing 289kgs of waste, mostly comprised of no biodegradable waste.
