Kolkata, 10th April, 2019 – Nirit Datta’s Project Guardians of The Wild is a series of sessions in schools and colleges across the country
that is conducted with the Vision of Utilizing the Young and bright engineering minds of the nation to brainstorm, research and develop technologies to solve Environment, Wildlife and Aquatic life related issues. An engineer himself and a passionate wildlife conservationist, Nirit Datta after graduating as an Engineer in 2018 quit his corporate job and has been delivering sessions since, as India’s First Conservation Technology Evangelist, working with the vision of making the young generation realize their responsibilities towards Mother Nature, specially in an environment, where students are hardly motivated and provided a fertile platform to research, develop and innovate.
Last Thursday April 10th, Nirit Datta delivered such a session at Techno Main Saltlake in front of more than 200 engineering students, with the full support of Techno India Group‘s management. ‘It is important that students realise the tremendous number of opportunities, possible innovations and professional careers in the fields of social and environmental impact’, said Pauline Laravoire, Techno India Group’s Sustainability Director.
The session also had the privilege to host Dr. Jerryl Banait, who was the face of the Tigress Avni Global Outcry, and was the only Individual taking the fight to the Government and Supreme Court. Tigress Avni, who was named after Dr. Jerryl’s Father was in the end killed mercilessly by professional shooters, but the whole nation for the first time saw such a big out roar from it’s citizens on any Wildlife related issue.
